Together, we’re building the kingdom…
2011 has been a tremendous year of Reaching Relevant & Relational ministry, both inside and outside the church walls. We broke ground at Easter by holding 2 morning worship services and served the gospel to nearly 300 people in one day. Our Sunday worship experiences have been refreshed with a new level of Spirit-driven sensitivity & power. In the past 8 months, our children’s ministry has experienced a complete makeover… It received new leadership (Pastor Gavin), a new name (KidsWay), a new curriculum, a renovated auditorium, a new Sunday “Kid’s Church” format, a record attendance of 140+ at this summer’s VBS, and now it’s launching a brand new midweek outreach called… SURGE. These are exciting days for everyone connected to Kings Way.
Together, we’re Raising the Roof…
Last year I asked a small group of builders, who call Kings Way home, to identify the current and future maintenance issues facing our facilities & grounds. Making the list were items like replacing our washroom flooring, cleaning our carpets, maintaining our landscaping & new grass. But high on the list was the need for a brand new roof.
Together, we’re moving forward…
The new roof cost just over $32,000. We believe that with God's help, every extra penny will be raised between now and Christmas 2011. I am asking every giver, every family, and every friend of Kings Way to make a financial commitment, above your normal tithing (giving), toward our Raising the Roof campaign. Let's settle this new debt & let's continue to build the kingdom of God in the valley and around the world...
Commitment cards are available @ the Welcome Window located in the main lobby. I am asking you to complete the card and pass it in during the offering. You are welcome to make a onetime gift or regular contributions between now & Christmas. Raising the Roof is the beginning of something new @ Kings Way. As the ministry of Kings Way Assembly grows, we will be faced with fresh challenges, or what I like to call “good” problems. In the not so distant future the children’s ministry will outgrow their current space, the parking lot will struggle with more congestion, and we’ll need to explore expanding our current sanctuary or holding 2 morning services… In addition, we’ll continue praying for the sick, paying down debt, seeking & saving the lost, supporting local & foreign missionaries, building healthy homes, reaching our community through relevant outreach/ministry, and expanding our outreach services through our two Care Centres & the Kings Way LifeCare Alliance.
2011 has been flooded with miraculous stories of life change & God encounters. Let’s all be a part of this financial miracle & together help ensure the miracles @ Kings Way continue for many generations to come…
Plug In…
On Sunday, September 11th, we’ll launch a new & sobering teaching series titled True Religion (James 1:27). Also on that Sunday we’ll take time for our much needed Back to School Prayer. Later that evening, our team of student missionaries will invite us all back to the church to hear the stories, see the pictures, and learn all about what God did in & through our team while they reached many lives in Lantz, NS.
